Cant move

I keep having these dreams, which everytime is different in its own way; once i fall asleep i wake up in the same position same setting same everything around me as when I had fell asleep (example, if i fell asleep in my room on my back I would wake into the dream in my room on my back...). In my dream I can either hear noises or even some times have seen shadows move around the room or hear someone walking around above my head.. The only issue in these dreams is i can never move.. It seems that no matter how hard i try to move my arm it feels as though gravity is pulling it back down. or no matter how loud i try to yell nothing is coming out... The dreams never last long, maybe a couple seconds then I wake up.. what does this mean..?
