Dad help me

I constantly have a dream that I am in a situation in which I'm about to be attacked or I'm about to die. My dad is always there, and he has the opportunity to save me, but he always chooses not to.

I think this may have something to do with my feelings towards my father. I have a deep resentment for him and how he treated my mother, my siblings and I as we were growing up....it just freaks me out!
