To Take or Not To Take

My Grandfather who passed away, and was previously divorced from my grandmother was at an National Guard event. In which, he was married to my grandmother and came to celebrate me and others being in the National Guard (which I am not in, but my spouse is).

So he realized that my birthday just passed, and decides to give me some money for my birthday. (I've always heard that you shouldn't take anything from the deceased in a dream). But I took the money and later left with my child and spouse.
